Â
7. Uninstall Storage Exec and reboot
8. Reinstall Storage Exec
9. Set the Storage Exec services to manual:
FileScreen Server
QuotaAdvisor Server
10. Set the Storage Exec drivers to manual via the registry and reboot. The reboot is required to allow the drivers to release VxSEQuotas.md:

Figure 7
Â
Â
11. After rebooting, restore the files VxSEQuotas.md, QaPolicyV5.mdb, SCTrend.mdb and SCAudit.mdbto their original location, replacing the ones generated by the latest installation. If a file is restored to an incorrect drive or directory,  the restoration will fail. Example: The restoration of the VxSEQuotas.md that originated on the C: drive to the D: drive will result in failure. Remember, each VxSEQuotas.md andQaPolicyV5.mdb file is drive letter specific.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Veritas\Storage Exec
13. Set the Storage Exec services to Automatic:

Upon reboot, the previous Storage Exec installation configuration information will be present and Storage Exec will be enforcing Space Quota and File Blocking policies as configured before.
